About Our Company

The Miller Institute for Learning with Technology (d.b.a., learningtech.org) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. We evolved from an independent educational technology consultancy originally founded by Mark L. Miller, Ph.D., in 1997. We were incorporated in March, 2000 as a California Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation. With headquarters in San Carlos, CA, we currently employ about a dozen people. Our revenues come from fee-for-service projects, workshops, sponsored projects, grants, and donations. The Institute's mission is to help people use technology more effectively for learning.

Our firm complies with all applicable laws and regulations for each locale in which we operate, including seeking all necessary licenses and certifications for the services we provide. For example, California requires registration with the Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair, because we provide PC and Mac repair services to some of our clients.

Currently, most of our projects are carried out in California, but we also work with schools and districts in other states. Contact information for other locations can be found on our Contact information page.
