SUMMARY: Learningtech.org requires authenticated connections, with TLS encryption, for email service. The canonical name of our primary mail server is mindstorm.learningtech.org. That name should be used for both SMTP (sending) server and POP3 (receiving) server. SMTP should be authenticated with TLS, on the normal port, and POP/IMAP should be authenticated with TLS, on the alternate port(s). Specific, step-by-step, instructions for configuring several of the more popular Email client applications follow. If you use email infrequently, you might find the web-based email access to be most convenient, since no software needs to be installed on your computer, and no configuration is required: simply use your favorite, reasonably modern web browser.
